20 Facts About Me

Hey there! Welcome to my blog again. Sorry if I've not been posting lately. It's just that I've been busy with stuff: online courses, poor network in the village, cleaning up the house since I returned, etc.

But I'm back to work now and I hope to give out quality contents to you. Just stay tuned and watch out for my posts so as not to miss the opportunities.

I've been pondering the idea of posting this for awhile now and I'm glad to finally share my experiences, adventures and everything else with you.

I thought and figured out no other way to introduce myself than listing these facts about myself. This can help you to get to know me on a more personal level. Let's Dive in!

  1. For those who don't know, my full name is Ojukwu Samuel Somtochukwu. Only few people know my last name. But I prefer it to others, it sounds cute.
  2. I'm not related to the soldier - Odumegwu Ojukwu. Sometimes, people think I'm an offspring of the Biafran soldier - Ojukwu. A fun fact is that, we're not even from the same part of the country. We're absolutely not related by anything.
  3. When I was younger, I would aspire to be an engineer. I would spend my time loosing up any electrical appliances I get my hand on. I imagine myself back then and smile at my ignorance of the what the world is all about.
  4. I have no favorite sport. Guys my age are known for their love for football, but mine is totally different. I can't even play street football. I wouldn't mind to learn, it's not too late tho. Lol.
  5. I have a hidden connection with my bed. Think anything you want but my bed gives me comfort than any other bed does. The time I spend on my bed with my phone after waking up can't be compared to another.
  6. I never get tired of drinking garri with groundnut. Garri gives me an out of the world pleasure especially when accompanied with groundnut, salt and milk. Yummy!yummy!yummy! For my readers outside Nigeria, garri is a type of cassava flour we have here.
  7. I have no fancy wears. I just don't know why but currently, I would choose to pay for an online course than to buy fancy wears. Those can come later, let's get those skills and knowledge now!
  8. I have no best friend. Or do I? People around me don't share same interests with me which makes me to be alone most times. My environment is pretty f****d up. Most people who are close friends to me are all outside Nigeria and I've never met them face to face. We do call through video but that face to face chat is what I can't wait for. (Hi Kamal and Prakriti!)
  9. I have no interest in girlfriends. Although, girls ask me out most times but the environment I found myself made me believe that love doesn't exist within them.
  10. I'm learning the piano. I'm the chief keyboardist in my church and many of them think I'm good enough. For me, I'm still a toddler. This is because I don't have a constant teacher. I've been learning on my own most times and trust me, it ain't easy dude!
  11. I listen to all music. I don't have a particular genre I love. I'm a music writer too but not professionally. I have a lot of songs which the world is yet to hear, I've lost lyrics to many of them. I write based on inspiration from the Almighty.
  12. I haven't travelled outside Nigeria. Yeah! Locked up in this prison with bad government all my life. But I'm not worried cuz I've got plans. Family's gonna wake up one morning to find out that Somto has relocated abroad! Lol.
  13. 80% of my passwords are just same word. I'm too lazy and forgetful to write down passwords or memorize them. Damn!
  14. I started my first online business at the age of fifteen. Yeah! But can't really remember what business it was...
  15. I was born on the first of February. And one interesting thing I like about myself is that, I just let my birthdays pass on low key. It's left for those who remembered to wish me. I also don't like gifts from people who aren't my family. Stupid right? I'm changing that rule this year. Lol.
  16. I learnt how to ride a bicycle in a dream. It all started as a dream... After few weeks, mum and dad got me a bicycle for my birthday and I applied what I learnt from the dream and voila! I rode the bike smoothly in less than 10 minutes, on my own. Shocking!
  17. I don't fancy school. I'm only going to further my education just to get the certificate and please family. After that, I'm out to face the cruel world!
  18. I'm a huge introvert. Only those who live with me at home can relate to that. Most people don't seem to believe me. I really love being alone with just my phone. It develops me spiritually and physically. I'm a strange dude... Lol.
  19. I plan on visiting Nepal someday. These guys are the nicest people I've met. I don't care about your opinions but this one, I've experienced. I think Nepali is gonna be my next nationality soon.
  20. I've made close friends via the internet than I have done through "real life". You can think what you like but I value my friends on social media so much. I don't think I have real friends around me except my family.

So, those are random facts about me! I hope you had fun reading about this strange dude and you didn't get bored? I also hope you were able to gather a bit more insight about me and my life? I look forward to spilling out more great contents at least once a week for you all. Bye for now!
